Emergency Evacuation Door

Emergency evacuation door

Introduction to Core Parameters, Materials and Features of Emergency Evacuation Doors

    Parameters

    Basic Dimension Parameters

    Door Width
Standard width for single door is 800mm – 1200mm, for double doors it is 1500mm – 2400mm. It must comply with the evacuation standard of “0.55m + 0.15m margin for single flow of people”.
    Door Height
Standard height is 2100mm – 2400mm. For basements or special spaces, the height can be adjusted according to the clear height, with a minimum of 2000mm.
    Opening Time
Automatic type has an opening response time of ≤ 0.5s, and manual type has an opening force of ≤ 80N (adults can easily push), ensuring quick passage in emergencies.

    Performance and Safety Parameters

    Closing Speed
Controlled by the automatic door opener, the closing time is 3s – 6s, and it has a “slow closing” function (final 10° – 15° buffer) to avoid injury.
    Environmental Adaptability
Working temperature is -30℃ – 50℃, humidity is ≤ 95% (no condensation), and it can operate stably in harsh environments such as high temperatures and humidity.

    Core Materials

    Door Frame and Panel

    Frame Material
Mainly galvanized steel plate (thickness 1.2mm – 1.5mm, rust-proof) or stainless steel (304/316 material, suitable for humid and corrosive environments), some high-end scenarios use aluminum alloy profiles (colors can be customized).
    Sealing Material
Fire-resistant expansion sealing strips are installed at the joint of the door frame and door panel. For the standard type, it uses EPDM rubber strips, enhancing sound insulation and dust prevention.

    Glass

Standard specification is tempered glass, thickness 8mm – 12mm. It can be selected as laminated glass, ultra-white glass, or coated glass. Laminated glass has no sharp edges after breaking, avoiding secondary injuries.

    Motor and Drive System

    Motor Type
Adopting DC brushless motor, power 50W – 150W, operating noise ≤ 50dB, featuring low energy consumption and long lifespan (service life ≥ 50,000 opening times).
    Driving Method
Driven by “motor + reduction gear + transmission belt”. Some high-end models use servo motors, precisely controlling the opening angle (0° – 90° adjustable).
    Emergency Power Supply
Equipped with a backup battery (capacity ≥ 12V/7Ah), which can support at least 50 complete openings after power failure, ensuring normal evacuation in case of power failure.

    Core Features

    Forced Evacuation Function
Automatic type has “fire alarm linkage”, receiving fire signals and automatically unlocking and remaining in the open position. Manual type has no locking device (or equipped with emergency escape lock, external lock and internal opening), and internal personnel can push it at any time.
    High Safety
Door edges are equipped with anti-collision sensors (infrared or mechanical touch edge), and it stops immediately upon detecting an obstacle during opening to avoid injury.
    Low Maintenance and Durability
Core components (motor, door opener) adopt sealed design, dust-proof and waterproof. Wear-prone parts such as door shafts and hinges are made of stainless steel, reducing rust and jamming, and reducing maintenance frequency.
